President Roger Ramsammy hosted a visit Jan. 29 from His Excellency Abdalla Shaheen, consul general of the United Arab Emirates in New York and David Greenhalgh, representing the US-UAE Business Council. The day’s busy itinerary included a visit to New York State’s Capitol in Albany, as well as meetings and tours on campus.
This visit was a direct follow-up to President Ramsammy’s trip to the UAE in fall 2019 as part of a trade delegation to explore opportunities and advance bilateral commercial relationships, workforce development partnerships and academic programs between the US and UAE. The trip was sponsored by the Center for Economic Growth in Albany and the US-UAE. Business Council in partnership with the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in New York.
